Commissioned by FLOS, SuperWire is a modular lighting system based on a LED light source designed for repair.

The product line includes a floor lamp, sconces, a table lamp and various suspension configurations. These pieces are all composed of hexagonal modules of flat glass panels, an aluminum framework and twelve slender LED strips, each shielded by a borosilicate tube the size of a spaghetti.

The design allows users to easily mount and unmount the glass panels, facilitating the substitution of components. The lighting sources have also been engineered to facilitate repair.

For the first time, a LED source which is not reliant on a standard light bulb is easily replaceable without the need of shipping back the full lamp to the manufacturer.

SuperWire reengineers the standard filament used in LED bulbs to obtain a homogeneous and warm light in an atypical length.
